Narrative

When I was a child, I was surrounded by the mountains, deep forests, and wildlife of Hokkaido. Like mothers watching quietly over their children, nature’s silent presence made me feel safe.
But back then, I didn’t realize how fortunate I was. It took years for me to truly understand the value of what I had—and how vital it is to protect nature and biodiversity.
Now, through my art, I aim to promote the beauty of my hometown and share the message of preserving what is precious.

説話

子どもの頃、私は北海道の山々や深い森、そこに生きる動物たちに囲まれて育ちました。まるで母親がそっと見守るように、自然の静かな存在が私を包み込んでくれていたのです。
けれどもその頃の私は、自分がどれほど恵まれていたかに気づいていませんでした。長い時間を経て、ようやくその価値の大きさと、自然や生物多様性を守ることの大切さを実感するようになりました。
いま私は、故郷・北海道の美しさを作品を通して伝えながら、自然保護の想いも込めて創作を続けています。

DUSK

Years ago, I took a road trip to Wakkanai, the northernmost tip of Hokkaido. I vividly remember the breathtaking seascape along the way — especially the view of Toyosaki Konpira Shrine beneath a fading sky tinted with soft purples after the sun had set.

夕暮れ

十数年前、北海道最北端の稚内へドライブ旅行をしました。　道中で見た美しい海の風景が今でも心に残っています。特に、夕焼けを背景に浮かび上がる豊岬金比羅神社の光景が印象的でした。

UNWIND

I remember standing by the rocky shore, watching the sun dip toward the horizon. The retreating waves, the orange and blue sky — everything felt still. The ocean seemed to gently invite me to let go and simply breathe.

心ほどける

岩がちな海岸に立ち、夕陽が水平線へと沈んでいくのを眺めていたときのことを覚えています。穏やかに引いていく波の音と、オレンジと青青に染まる空の美しさに包まれて、すべてが静まり返ったようでした。海がそっと「力を抜いていいよ」と語りかけてくれたように感じました。

DANCING IN THE SNOW

Inspired by the courtship dance of red-crowned cranes, this piece imagines a moment of invitation — one wing extended, as if to say, “Shall we dance?” A rare encounter in a quiet, almost dreamlike forest.

丹頂鶴の舞

頂鶴の優雅な求愛ダンスにインスピレーションを受けて描きました。羽を広げ、まるで「一緒に踊りませんか」と語りかけるようなひととき。幻想的な森での、静かで貴重な出会いです。

MAGNIFICENT EZO FUJI

This mountain, Mt. Yotei (a.k.a. “Ezo Fuji”), was a constant presence in my childhood. I saw it daily, climbed it, and camped beneath it. Its changing face through the seasons was part of my life. Now, living far away, I miss it deeply — Mt. Yotei will always feel like home.

雄大な蝦夷富士

この山は「蝦夷富士」とも呼ばれる羊蹄山。子どもの頃、毎日眺め、何度か登り、麓でキャンプもしました。季節ごとに変わる姿は、日常の風景の一部でした。今は遠く離れて暮らしていますが、羊蹄山はいつまでも私の「帰る場所」です。

TRANQUIL

Shirogane Blue Pond — a quaint, secluded spot with a mysterious blue hue. Far from the noise of the city, it feels almost forgotten by the world. Still, quiet, and intimate, it's the kind of place where you could hide all your secrets beneath the surface and they'd be safe forever.

静寂

白金の青い池—神秘的な青をたたえる、ひっそりと佇む小さな池。街の喧騒から遠く離れ、まるで世界に忘れられたかのような静けさ。動かず、静かで、どこか親密な空気をまとい、すべての秘密をそっと隠してくれるような場所です。
