This portrait of a garden in Kyoto, reminds us that as you are stepping through your life's journey, its worth pausing on a stone for a moment to take in the beauty that surrounds us....

In Kyoto, many ancient temples are accompanied with beautiful gardens.  Some of them are using geometric raked gravel, others consist of meticulously arranged trees, rocks, and ponds.  The interesting thing about the gardens in Kyoto is that you will see different colors depending on when you visit.  If you are at one of the gardens in the fall, you will be surrounded by bright red Momiji trees.  If you are there in early spring, you will be surrounded by cherry blossoms.  When I was in Kyoto in May, those bright colors were gone but I enjoyed seeing the uniquely shaped bonsai trees and koi fish.  After miles of walking gardens, I stopped for a moment to take in all of the beauty images and attempt to capture them to memory.  It was a peaceful moment.
